St. Edward’s track competes well, breaks records

The St. Edward Catholic School seventh grade track and field team competed well at the St. Philomena meet at Eastside Centre April 26. 

The Jaguars earned fifth.

In the 200-meter and 400, Giorgio Grivetti broke the St. Edward seventh grade school records.

Grivetti earned first in the 400 at 1:00.35. In the 200, he ran for second at 27.43.

The 200 record Grivetti broke was set in 2003 by IVC hall of famer Nick Wyzgowski. The 400 record was set in 1996 by Alexis Ramos.

In the 100, Grivetti earned second at 12.87 and first in the long jump at 15-feet-6.5-inches.

Kate Cluskey earned third in the 1600 at 6:18.72 and fourth in the 800 at 2:54.19. Cluskey completed the high jump at 3-10 for fifth.

In the 100, Calli Clare ran the 100 for sixth at 14.7.
