Runners do well in Princeton

The IVC boys and girls track and field teams traveled to Princeton for the Ferris Co-Ed Invitational April 21 to receive fifth place with a combined 249.5 points out of the seven teams present.

The girls placed sixth with 105 points.

In the 100-meter, Hattie Hoerr earned third at 16.16 seconds.

Katherine Schneider ran for second in the 1600 at 5:53.32 and received fifth in the 800 at 2:40.87.

In the relays, IVC finished in fifth in the 4x100 and the 4x200.

Madi Horack completed the high jump at 9-feet-6-inches for second.

Alexis Eckhoff earned first in the long and triple jump. In the long jump, Eckhoff won with 15-01 and in the triple, she won with 32-00.5.

Kayleen McGann earned fourth in the long jump at 14-03.

In the shot put, Hannah Scherer earned third at 34-10.

The boys received fourth place with 144.5 points.

Kelley Noetzel ran the 200 in 23.00 for second place.

Luke Patty earned second in the 400 at 52.7, just behind first at 52.51.

In the 800, Matt Keffeler ran for first at 2:11.96.

The Grey Ghosts earned third in the 4x200 at 1:38.69, third in the 4x800 at 9:23.5 and fourth in the 4x400 at 3:48.31.

Keffeler tied for third in the high jump at 5-07 and Alec McElyea earned third in the long jump at 18-05.5.

Riley Beard completed the pole vault at 8-06 for fifth.

Jordan Ladd earned third in the shot put at 40-07 and third in the discus at 121-09.
