The IVC varsity soccer team added another win and a tie to its record with matches against Spring Valley Hall and Limestone.

The Lady Grey Ghosts also received a loss to Bloomington. 

IVC 6, Spring Valley Hall 2

Against Hall April 28, IVC earned a 6-2 win.

The game was called with four minutes left in the first half due to weather.

IVC’s first goals were by Sierra Gatz in the third minute and fourth minute.

Jen Gonzalez had a goal in the 10th with an assist by Lauren Bangert.

Bangert, then, put hers in from an assist by Sarah Daum in the 17th.

In the 31st, Bangert scored unassisted and Rylie Milliken had the last for IVC with an assist by Daum in the 35th.

Hall’s shots went in at the 17th and 28th minute.

IVC outshot Hall 15-2. 

Bloomington 1, IVC 0

In the Lady Grey Ghosts’ second match of the week against Bloomington, IVC fell 1-0.

The game was scoreless until the 63rd 

minute when Bloomington snuck one past IVC’s defense to score the game-winning goal.

Taylor Neys was in the net for the 80 minutes and had one save.

IVC finished with one shot on goal. 

IVC 2, Limestone 2

IVC received another tie in the season to Limestone in Saturday’s game.

IVC led the Rockets 2-1 until Limestone received a penalty kick in the second half to tie the game.

Neither team was able to get one last goal in for the win.

Gatz and Gonzalez each had a goal apiece.
