IVC hosts St. Jude Night with Limestone

The IVC varsity baseball team will host a St. Jude Night May 13 with its game against Limestone at home. The first pitch is at 7 p.m. and all funds raised will go to Chillicothe and Limestone St. Jude runners.

Both IVC and Limestone traveled to Memphis, Tenn. at the beginning of the season for an early start to baseball action and also to visit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and make donations raised throughout the year.

IVC and Limestone St. Jude runners will run in the first pitch.

Youth baseball, softball night at the ball park

Also planned for the evening May 7 will be a night for the youth baseball and softball players of the Chillicothe area.

Youth baseball and softball players from Chillicothe, Mossville and Rome are invited to attend the IVC varsity baseball game at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday against Limestone.

The youth players will assemble at the batting cages and, when instructed, will enter the field through left gate.

Those present will stand with the IVC varsity team for the playing of the National Anthem at the youth player’s playing position.

Each player will receive a hot dog, chips and soda.
