Grey Ghost golfers win three more

The Illinois Valley Central golf team took on Peoria Central Sept. 1 and crushed them, 162-205, at Arrowhead Country Club.

Tyler Myers led the varsity Ghosts with a score of 38 and was followed by a 40 from Spencer Youngman.

Daniel Heinz helped the Ghosts by shooting a 41, and Ryan Wargo ended the day with a 43.

Justin Brabant also shot a 43 and Mason Ely finished with a respectable 49.

The team then downed St. Bede, 169-178, Sept. 6 at Arrowhead.

Youngman led the team this time with a score of 40 and was followed by Myers’ 42.

A 43 from Heinz kept the Ghost score low, as did a 44 from Wargo.

Brabant also hit a 44 and Bryce Mack rounded out the squad with a 49.

The team finished the week Thursday when Streator came to Arrowhead and IVC won, 156-157.

Both Myers and Youngman came in first for the team with scores of 38.

Wargo and Brabant cracked the top four when both shot 40.

Heinz finished with a 42 and Mack with a 49.

The team next golfs at 4 p.m. Thursday at Brimfield.
