The Illinois Valley Central football team is looking to make it six straight wins when the head to Herscher Saturday for the first round of the State playoffs.

The Ghost offense will need to continue to effectively run the ball as they have been in the last five wins.

Running backs Dan Semtner and Jared Lauber will Need to use their power style of running to overcome a strong defensive line.

Quarterback Brock Adcock will be looking to hit wideout Trever Black and tight end Sherrar Tate to get out of jams if the running game falters.

"I've been breaking down film to see what Herscher likes to do and gameplan around it," coach Tim Heinz said. " We're going to have to play a great game and not come out flat."

In defense, the Ghosts will have to try to stop a strong power running game and quick receivers with linebacker Rick Perham.

The game is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Herscher.
