Letter: Rescue 33 creating Community Foundation
As promised I wanted to keep you informed on some of the things that we are working in the fight to reestablish our organization. In continuing with our drive to help others and despite the turnout of our ambulance service, I would like to inform you that there are plans to establish the Community Foundation.
Why are we creating Community Foundation?
The answer is simple — because of the community.
Years ago this organization was started for one reason only and that was to help those in need. Ever since then this organization has grown and was able to operate thanks to local family members, business owners and members of the community.
Things like the Donut Days, Claud-Elen Days, and Bailey's Breakfast are all examples of such great community events. These events started as fundraisers to help support the ambulance service, but they became more than that.
They became a part of our history, a place where families came together, and a place where generations of kids learned valuable lessons on volunteering. We feel that the assets that we have from these events and the experience we have learned over the years should be used to give back to the community that held us together for so many years.
The foundation is still in the planning stage, but some of the ideas behind the foundation are a scholarship fund, keeping all of the annual events and tent rentals. All of this will help build a stronger community and create opportunities to allow everyone to be a part of giving back!
All money raised will be given to the ambulance organization once they are licensed or redistributed to the community. This organization will be built by volunteers wanting to make our community a great place to live.
If you are interested in supporting this organization or have questions please feel free to send us a letter. Please if you have any questions or concerns, I would be glad to put forth all my effort to answers them to the best of my knowledge.
