Illinois Central College will issue guest admission tickets for its Spring Commencement Ceremony on May 17, 2014. This is the first time ICC will require guests of graduates to have tickets to be admitted.

“While we recognize that this is an important milestone for our graduates, the number of people we can accommodate in the CougarPlex is limited. Issuing of an equal number of tickets for each graduate ensures that all participants have the same opportunity to bring family and friends,” John Erwin, president of the College said.

Each student who has registered for Commencement will receive six tickets by mail. Students who require fewer tickets should return extras to the College in the business-reply envelope provided with their tickets. “Students also may want to share extra tickets with their friends,” Erwin said. “But if they are not going to use them, we would like them to return those tickets to us before May 9. On May 13, students will be able to request additional tickets by emailing Up to three extra tickets may be requested, and students will receive those tickets on a first-come, first-served basis,” Erwin said.
