Local Easter egg hunts Saturday

The Easter Egg Round Up, sponsored by downtown merchants, begins at 10 a.m. in City Park, located at the corner of Second and Chestnut streets.

With 8,000 eggs, children of all ages can hunt for the coveted eggs.

Also on hand will be GST Productions for music and announcing, The Balloon Guy and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny and Princess helpers, otherwise known as high school choral students.

The Chillicothe Historical Society’s Rock Island Train Depot at Third and Cedar streets will be open as well.

IVC High School

Activities begin early with the Chillicothe Optimist Club’s annual Easter egg hunt at IVC High School, 1300 W. Sycamore St.

A Relay For Life pancake breakfast runs from 8-11 a.m.

The hunt begins at 11 a.m. on the high school lawn.

Other activities include The Unique Twist offering balloons for children, photos with the Easter Bunny and more.

A Spring Craft Show also will run from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. The proceeds will benefit the student service trip to the Grand Traverse Reservation in Michigan.
