Petition sponsor Yes for Independent Maps, is a nonpartisan grassroots campaign to put an Illinois constitutional amendment on the November 2014 ballot that will take redistricting out of the hands of politicians and return power to the people of Illinois.

The League supports Yes for Independent Maps and states that the amendment is an important reform essential to bringing transparency, non-partisanship and independence to the redistricting process and ending incumbent protection and voter disenfranchisement.
