The SMG-managed Peoria Civic Center Theater’s Jersey Boys shows were ranked 1st in the world by Venues Today, as a top ticketed event for venues of 2,000 or fewer capacity.

“Our success is as direct effect of the continued support of Broadway lovers throughout Central Illinois,” said SMG Manager, Jim Wetherington. “We also attribute this to the hard work of the staff at the Broadway Booking Office and the entire Jersey Boys family.”

The Jersey Boys performances took place on Feb. 12-23, 2013. Over the course of these days, over 21,000 people attended 16 performances, and together they grossed over $1.4 million in revenue.

Although Jersey Boys has shown to be a fan favorite, Peoria Civic Center Theater, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins rendition also made the cut, being ranked 12th for their Oct. 30-Nov. 4, 2012 performances.

Upcoming shows in the theater include The Ten Tenors, Peoria Symphony Orchestra, Flashdance, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, and Cirque D’Or.
