Chillicothe officials, business owners, residents and police officers all walk onto the football field Friday night in their pink shirts after being "arrested" earlier in the day for a cause — breast cancer awareness.

Twenty-eight people participated in raising at least $100 each for bail money after being served fake warrants earlier. This year was the first time for the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 247 to host the event, Cuffs for a Cure. Chillicothe police officers wore pink shirts during their shifts to bring awareness to the cause.

The Susan G. Komen Foundation is the recipient of the $3,670 that was raised. The event is being planned again for next year.

Editor's note: Our print copy contains an incorrect total that was supplied to the newspaper initially of $3,850 raised through the event. The correct total is $3,670.
