ICC Theater produces drama at all-night diner
The Illinois Central College Theatre Program presents nine performances of the tense drama When You Comin’ Back, Red Ryder? between Nov. 14 and 23 in the ICC Performing Arts Center Studio Theatre on the East Peoria Campus. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m., except on Nov. 16 and 23, when the show starts at 2:30 p.m. There is no performance on Nov. 17.
In this intense drama that explores the true nature of people, the casual setting of an all-night diner in a sleepy southwestern town on an early Sunday morning is disrupted when a gunman takes over and forces the patrons to take a closer look at themselves.
The play is rated R for adult situations and language.
Cast members include Nathan Apodaca of Brimfield, Hannah Bruce of Bartonville, Hannah Gidcumb of Tremont, Ryan Groves of Carlock, Nick McCumber of Peoria Heights, Tannen Skriver of Washington, Jake Sleva of Laura and Rebekah Waters of Minonk.
When You Comin’ Back, Red Ryder? was written by Mark Medoff. The ICC production is directed by Alan Walker.
The show is presented through special arrangements with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
