Kidz Got Talent auditions set
The popular children’s talent show Kidz Got Talent will be back for its third year during the 2014 Washington Good Neighbor Days Festival.
The finalists with take the state from 3:30-5 p.m. May 31 on the CEFCU Main Stage. The event is sponsored by the TimesNewspaper Group which includes the Chillicothe Times-Bulletin, East Peoria Times-Courier, Washington Times-Reporter, the Morton Times-News and the Woodford Times.
School children of all ages with a talent for singing, dancing, playing a musical instrument, acrobatics, magic tricks, or telling jokes are encouraged to audition for the competition.
Solo performers and group acts are being sought.
Auditions will be held from 1-3:30 p.m. May 4 at the Washington Park District building, 105 S. Spruce St. Washington.
Only performers chosen through the auditions will be competing in the talent show during the Good Neighbor Days Festival.
Up to five competitors in each age category will be chosen and there is no fee to compete.
Competitors are judged on showmanship, knowledge of the material, appearance, their ability to entertain and their level of talent.
There will be three age categories: up to fourth grade; fifth-eighth grade and ninth-12th grade.
Prizes are award to first ($75) and second place ($50) in each age group.
