Mid-Illini all-conference teams announced

The Mid-Illini Conference has announced its all-conference teams for each sport.


While no Dunlap players were named to the first team on offense, seniors Nick Mangieri and Derrick Smith made the team on defense.

Mangieri was named to the squad as a linebacker, while Smith made the squad on secondary.

On the second team, senior Alaadean Kattom was named as an offensive guard, while junior Bryon Jordan made the team as a running back. Sophomore Davion McManis made the offensive team as a wide end/wide receiver.


Four Dunlap players were named to the first and second teams.

On the first team, senior Liz Finerty was the lone representative for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, senior Jamie Nichting and juniors Danielle Peterson and Jaeden Barlow all made the second team.

The only team to have more all-conference members on the team was Metamora, with five. Washington also had four members.

Girls tennis

The doubles team that went to State were both named to the first team.

Juniors Mallory Horton and Molly Mathes were among the eight representatives on the team.

There were no second team members.

Girls cross country

The Eagles had two members placed on each all-conference team.

On the first team is senior Leah Brooks and freshman Allison Verville.

Meanwhile, sophomores Ana Landon and Danielle Snarr made the second team.

Boys cross country

Three Eagles runners made the first team, the most of any school in the conference.

Juniors Everett Lepp and Zach Plank made the team, as well as senior Matt Weber.

Boys soccer

While Morton had nine players make the first and second teams, Dunlap had five of its own players make the team as well.

On the first team is senior Kieran Lynch and sophomore Jacob Taylor.

Meanwhile, senior Trevor Cross and juniors Ryan Kocher and Nick Waller made the second team.

Boys golf

The lone State golfer and golfer that barely missed the State cut made the all-conference teams.

On the first team is Jake Schneider, while Matt Lavery, who went to State, made the second team.

Girls golf

Lexi Hammerton, the only girls golfer to advance to State, is the lone Eagles representative on the all-conference team.

Hammerton was named to the first team.
