'Green Where You Are' offered to public at the library
Laura Barnes of the Illinois Sustainable Technology Center will be presenting two special lectures at the Chillicothe Public Library on Sept. 29, as part of “Go Green @ Your Illinois Library,” an Illinois Library Association project.
At noon, “Greening Your Business” will address ways to make an organization more environmentally friendly and discuss strategies for overcoming barriers to going green. This is a brown-bag event. Feel free to bring a lunch, or for $6 the library will provide a lunch (must RSVP).
At 6 p.m., “Greening Your Home” will help residents become an environmentally smart consumer, learn how to reduce your energy and water bills, and discover new resources for living a greener lifestyle.
RSVP by Sept. 26 for both events. Call 309-274-2719 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The first 25 to RSVP will receive a free pack of CFL light bulbs.
