Chillicothe residents may join with others around the country to remember the country’s soldiers who never came home.

More than 83,000 Americans are prisoners of war or missing in action from the World War II, the Korean War, the Cold War, the Vietnam War and the 1991 Gulf War, according to the Department of Defense.

Chillicothe’s POW-MIA Remembrance Ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 16 at Moffitt Nature Park, located at Second and Moffitt streets. The ceremony will be conducted by the American Legion, AMVETS, VFW and Marine Corps.
