Dunlap boys golf takes care of Canton

While the Dunlap girls golf team beat Canton on the road, the boys team handled Canton at home.

Playing on the front nine, the Eagles beat Canton by over 20 strokes at Donovan, 163-188.

Jake Schneider carded the top score on the day, shooting a 1-over par 37. Matt Lavery finished in second overall with a 40, while Jason Meyer and Nick Colombo both shot 43s.

The Dunlap junior varsity team also walked away with a 178-231 victory. Matt Rhee was a medalist, shooting a 40.

A day later, the Eagles finished in the middle of a three team meet at Kellogg Golf Course. Morton finished two strokes ahead of Dunlap with a 149, while Dunlap edged Richwoods by three strokes, 151-154.

Schneider shot a 1-over par 36, with Lavery and Colombo one stroke behind. Joe White rounded out the scores with a 41.

Dunlap’s JV team came away with a first-place score of 159, beating both Morton (164) and Richwoods (180).
