Dunlap boys track wins first home meet

Eureka and Farmington proved to be no problem for the boys track team on Thursday.

The Eagles won their first home meet of the season, getting 80 points to take first place. Eureka finished with 58, while Farmington got 48.

Dunlap took first in seven events, including two team events. The 4x800-meter team finished with a time of 8 minutes, 52.1 seconds, while the 4x200 team finished with a time of 1:35.5.

In individual events, both Tyler Blum and Cameron Okeke won two events. Blum took first in the 110-high hurdles with a time of 16.8 seconds, and finished first in the 300-high hurdles with a time of 44.6 seconds.

Okeke won two jumping events, finishing first in the long jump with a distance of 20 feet and in the triple jump with a distance of 39-7.5. Jacob Retz won the discus event for the team with a throw of 128-7.
