Fountella Marliere, Dorothy Bolte and Karen Gerke were putting the finishing hem on this year’s hand-sewn queen sized Dresde Plate design quilt to be raffled off for the St. Edward Church Auction on Nov. 6. Cristine Timmons is the chairwoman. Church members will have tickets available for $1 apiece ahead of time. Mary Rogers and Sandi Levell have also worked on this quilt.

The parishioners at St. Edward Church in Chillicothe are excited for their annual auction fundraiser, with this year’s theme “California Dreamin.’”

The auction will be Nov. 6 at St. Edward School in Chillicothe.

Dinner catered by Basta Mangiare begins at 5:30pm. Soft drinks, coffee, water and tea are included with the $20 admission, and a full cash bar is available.

Following the live auction, Rewind, a local cover band, will provide live music and entertainment until midnight.

After dinner, guests will be treated to a live comedy skit and will have the opportunity to bid at the silent auction.

The live auction begins at 8 p.m. and includes wonderful items such as a signed and certified jersey from Lance Armstrong, week vacation at a Wisconsin Lake, Chicago Bulls tickets, an airplane ride, one night stay at Mission Oak Bed and Breakfast in Henry, and many more excellent items.

In conjunction with the auction, a bake and craft sale will be taking place all day in the parish hall, starting at 9 a.m.

For the 31st year, the St. Edward Quilters are donating a handmade quilt to be raffled. Tickets for the quilt are $1 each and tickets for the money raffle are $5 each, with top prize of $1,000.

Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are greatly encouraged.
