Village of Dunlap looking to fill four trustee positions

The village of Dunlap will have four trustee positions to be filled in the general elections April 5.

Three of the trustee positions are four-year terms and the third will be filling out the last two years of the current term.

Nominating petitions are now available. Forms can be picked up at the Village Hall located at 104 N. Second St., during regular business hours or village clerk Fraser Engerman can be contacted at 531-8977 for the forms. Sept. 21 was the first day that prospective candidates could circulate nominating petitions. Petitions must be filed with the village clerk no earlier than 8 a.m. Dec 13 and no later than 5 p.m. Dec. 20.

To be eligible to serve, a trustee must be, on the date of the election, a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years old, a resident of the state of Illinois and live in the village of Dunlap for at least one year immediately preceding the election and a registered voter.
