Two losses put record at 4-7-1

The Dunlap Eagles held off the University High School Pioneers for much of the first half of Thursday’s game, but the Pioneers took the win, 3-0.

With 2:19 left in the first half, U-High scored off a well-placed corner kick.

The Eagles were able to keep hold of their turf for much of the game, but U-High was able to take control after junior Zain Becerra headed the ball in for their second goal.

Again, U-High was able to hit the net with 9:20 remaining in the second half when junior Brock Johnson kicked it into the left corner.

Dunlap faced off against Morton Saturday, but was defeated, 3-0.

Dunlap’s record is now 4-7-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the Mid-Illini Conference.
