Zac Brown Band to play at Three Sisters

Three Sisters Park will host the only headlining downstate appearance of the Zac Brown Band at 7 p.m. June 10.

The announcement came late Tuesday morning that the band will show off their southern-flavored rock with special guest Blackberry Smoke.

Following up their 2010 GRAMMY win for “Best New Artist” and multiple “Entertainer of the Year” nods in 2010 (ACM and CMA), the Zac Brown Band has scored six consecutive No. 1 singles on the radio. Their latest album “You Get What You Give” (Atlantic/Southern Ground) debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and features guest appearances by Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffett. Zac Brown Band recently won an ACM award for Vocal Event of the Year with Alan Jackson on “As She’s Walking Away.”

New on the scene is “Cookie,” the band’s tractor-trailer sized, custom-built, mobile commercial kitchen that recently debuted under the helm of Executive Chef Rusty Hamlin.

At headlining shows, Zac Brown and Chef Rusty will host their pre-show eat-and-greets, where fans can hang out with the band and sample Southern Ground grub. This year, the cuisine part of the tour will include concession sales and tailgating events.

Three Sisters Park will also feature camping on the grounds with camping packages are available for purchase.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. General admission tickets are $59.50 and $49.50. They will be available at all Peoria area Co-Op Records, by phone at 800-514-ETIX and online at and Camping packages are also available for $15 each.
