Summer Camp is also going on the road for February and March to find the brightest new talent that the Midwest has to offer.

At each stop along the tour, several of the area's best bands will compete in a regional talent showcase. The winner of the showcase as decided by the fans in attendance will receive an invitation to music festival, playing alongside the bands.

Residents who want to take part in one of the talent showcases should submit an Electronic Press Kit at www.sonicbids.com/summercampontheroad for the musician's home city. If selected to participate, musicians could very well be on the way to playing at Summer Camp in front of countless music lovers from across the country.

The Summer Camp Music Festival began in 2001 at Three Sisters Park. The first year's attendance was around 1,000 people and hosted more than 20 bands on two stages over the course of two days.

Since that first year, the Summer Camp Music Festival has grown to more than 10,000 attendees, hosting more than 50 bands on four stages over four days. Almost doubling the population of Chillicothe, IL, for the weekend, the concert attendees also greatly impact the local business economy. The office festival website is: www.summercampfestival.com
