POW-MIA REMEMBRANCE CEREMONIES will be conducted at Moffitt Park at 11 a.m. Sept. 19 by the AMVETS, American Legion, Marine Corps and VFW. The public is invited to attend.

BENEFIT FOR DOUG REED begins at 2 p.m. Sept. 20 at American Legion Post 9. Diagnosed with esophageal cancer, the benefit will help offset medical bills. Bake sale, spaghetti dinner and auction, 50/50, raffles, face painting, band at 7 p.m. Monetary donations may be made to the Doug Reed Benefit account at First National Bank. I BELIEVE IN ANGELS MEMORIAL WALK is at 9 a.m. Sept. 27 at Pearce Community Center. Two-mile walk down Sixth Street to cemetery and back. Spon. by the Chillicothe Cemetery Enhancement Committee. Packet pick-up begins at 8 a.m. Fee is $20. For more info, call 274-4445.

ART JACKSON MEMORIAL EVENT is at 11 a.m. Sept. 27 at City Park, following the Angel Walk. Food by Castaways, garage sale 11 a.m.-5 p.m., bake sale, live auction at 5  p.m., 50/50 drawings throughout the day, games and fun for kids, craft booths and raffles throughout the day. Entertainment by Billy Washburn, S7 Productions and Kirch. Evening entertainment continues at American Legion at 7 p.m. with Borderline, raffles and 50/50 drawings. First annual event's proceeds go to Joyce Jackson, with continuing years to be donated to local events.
