GARAGE SALE is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 22 at Heritage Manor. Benefits Alzheimer's Association. Donations are being accepted Aug. 20. Hot dogs, chips and drink will be served for $2.

IVC MAROON AND GREY WEEKEND is Aug. 22-24. Aug. 22 is Maroon and Grey Night at Taylor Field. Concession stand opens at 5:30 p.m., serving hot sandwiches and other items, and introduction of fall athletes is at 6 p.m., followed by football, soccer and volleyball scrimmage.

IVC Athletic Booster memberships on sale, Football Bingo chances and prize giveaways. At 6 p.m. Aug. 23 is Family Pool Party at Arrowhead Country Club. Members, families and golf outing players invited. Aug. 24 is annual golf outing at Arrowhead. Reg. at noon, with dinner/raffle drawings at 6 p.m.

MEXICAN AMERICAN SOCIETY TACOS will be served beg. at 4 p.m. Aug. 29 at American Legion Post 9 downtown. Karaoke by Bedrock from 8 p.m.-midnight.

BAILEY'S PUB 7TH ANNUAL RESCUE 33 BUFFET BREAKFAST is from 7 a.m.-noon Labor Day, Sept. 1, at Second and Chestnut. Scrambled eggs, hash browns, fruit, biscuits and gravy, bacon, ham, Danish and coffee and juice. Silent auction bids on quilts, afghans and assorted items donated for the event. All donations go toward Rescue 33's advanced EMT training.

Proceeds go to help Scott and Kelly Burdette offset medical costs related to her bout with Guillain Barre Syndrome. They are the parents of 2-year-old Carter and 2-month-old Hatley.
