BUS SCHEDULE ALTERED IN DISTRICT 321 — Due to busing, the schedule for Aug. 18 and 19 has been altered. All starting times are the usual starting times for all students K-12. Dismissal for high school and Chillicothe Junior High (grades 7 and 8) will be 10:40 a.m. ALL other schools - Mossville, South and CEC grades 3-6 - will be dismissed at 11:20 a.m. Normal dismissal schedules will begin Aug. 20.

SHORE ACRES DANCE featuring Nancy West is cancelled for Aug. 24. The Glenn Reader Band will entertain from 2-5 p.m. Sept. 14 at Shore Acres ballroom. Public is invited. Sponsored by the Chillicothe Historical Society. Refreshments. $6 admission.

MEXICAN AMERICAN SOCIETY TACOS will be served beg. at 4 p.m. Aug. 29 at American Legion Post 9 downtown. Karaoke by Bedrock from 8 p.m.-midnight.

GIRL SCOUT TROOP 4028 ALUMINUM CAN DRIVE is from 8 a.m.-noon Sept. 6 at the St. Edward Church parking lot. If unable to drop off aluminum, call Jane Merdian at 274-8182, or Donna Daly at 274-5108 for pickup.

KELLY'S KAUSE BENEFIT beg. at noon Sept. 13 at Pearce Community Center. Food, games, silent auction, live auction and kids' area. Band will play during evening. Proceeds go to help Scott and Kelly Burdette offset medical costs related to her bout with Guillain Barre Syndrome, an autoimmune disease attacking the central nervous system. They are the parents of 2-year-old Carter and 2-month-old Hatley. Kelly was diagnosed shortly after the birth of her daughter April 17.
