Chillicothe - Nancy L. Cook, 82 of Chillicothe, IL. Passed away Friday, February 4th, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

Nancy was born September 29, 1939, in Kewanee, IL to Emmett E. Puckett and Margaret L. Sizemore. She lived with Charles R. Smith of Chillicothe, IL. He preceded her in death in 2012. Also preceded in her death are one brother Emmett Puckett Jr, two sisters Edna Mae Puckett, Ruthann Puckett and her parents.

Nancy was a loving mother and grandmother. When raising her children she made a living as a babysitter, making lifelong relationships with some of them. Later years she worked at jewelry stores in Chillicothe. Surviving are her children, Justin (Glenda) Miller of Chillicothe and Wesley (Stacy) Miller of Chillicothe; 5 grandchildren, Cody (Susie) Miller of Lemoore, CA, Jake (Kaile) Miller of East Peoria, IL, Jaime (Cole) Betts of Lacon, IL, Paige (Sawyer) Reifel of Bakersfield, CA,

And Sarah (Nic Harness) Miller of Chillicothe, IL; 5 great grandchildren, with one on the way, Camden, Addison, Beau, Oakley and Boston.

Cremation rights will be accorded, and a family graveside service will be held at Chillicothe Cemetery at a later date. Memorials in Nancy's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
