Chillicothe - Joyce L. Young, 90, of Chillicothe passed away on Friday evening, August 20, 2021 at Lacon Rehab & Nursing Home in Lacon.

Joyce was born on June 19, 1931 in Chillicothe the daughter of Ralph and Blanch (Hahn) Adams. She married Neil F. Young on July 9, 1951 in Chillicothe. He preceded her in death on August 27, 2006.

She is survived by her daughter Suzette (Dennis) Miller of Chillicothe; two grandsons Joshua (Val) Miller of Waukon, IA and Adam (Ashlee) Miller of Morton; six great grandchildren Braeden, Edison, Harrison, Easton, Maddox, and Ellison; a sister Pat Sullivan of Streator and a sister-in-law Mary Jane Adams of Elberton, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Cassandra Cealey, Brother Lloyd Adams, and her twin sister Jean L. Hopp.

Joyce was a homemaker and very generous person. She supported many veteran groups and animal shelters.

The family thanks Lacon Rehab & Nursing Home in Lacon and Vitas Hospice for their loving care.
