UPDATE: Traffic to the airport has returned to normal, with service to the affected gas line shut off.
PEORIA — Travelers arriving at the Gen. Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport should expect partial closures at the entrance to the facility.
That's because of a gas main break on airport property that is being investigated to determine its extent.
Airport officials are asking travelers to park only on the east half of the airport parking lot.
No one is in danger, and the airport itself remains open, officials said in a news release.
