CHILLICOTHE — The Mossville boys cross country team punched their ticket to the state finals by placing second as a team at their Saturday, Oct. 6 sectional at Three Sisters Park.
Gabe Ross was the first Warrior to finish. Finishing sixth overall, Ross earned a ribbon with his time of 12:16.
Michael Conklin also broke into the top-10, placing 10th overall in a time of 12:27. Following Conklin was Stephen Braun in 14th with a time of 12:39, Bubka Carlson in 17th with a time of 12:58 and Brecken Fahrenkrug was 18th with a time of 12:59.
Evan Kempf and Landon Wall rounded out Mossville’s top-7 runners. Kempf placed 36th with a time of 13:34 and Wall finished 61st with a time of 14:27.
Mossville finished with a score of 61, 31 points behind first-place Dunlap Valley, who had the race’s top-3 finishers.
Along with the boys team, sixth-grader Ella Hill qualified for state for the girls. Hill finished second overall with a time of 13:10.
