CHILLICOTHE — Two people have been arrested and two more are being sought in connection with an attempted home invasion last Friday, Chillicothe police said Wednesday.
Two men said they were police in an attempt to get inside a Chillicothe apartment Friday, Chillicothe police said Saturday. The resident closed the door upon realizing they were not police, and they left without further incident.
Dakota Frank, 23, and Rachel Frank, 20, both of Chillicothe, were booked on charges of attempted home invasion and taken to the Peoria County Jail, according to Wednesday's news release from Chillicothe police.
Police said they are still looking for two other suspects in the case: 23-year-old Paul J. Rivers of Peoria and a man who is described only as a skinny black male, 25 to 30 years old and 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall. The suspects should be considered armed and dangerous, according to the news release.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the two suspects is encouraged to call the Chillicothe Police Department at 274-2129.
Police said they also arrested Jose Ozuna, 35, of Chillicothe on Wednesday. He was booked on charges of being in possession of a controlled substance in connection with the attempted home invasion. He was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
