Carl Morrison Reavley, 69, of Bartonville, passed away and went to be with the Lord at 4:23 p.m. on Wednesday Dec. 19, 2012, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was born Dec. 20, 1942 in Chicago to Carl Edgar and Ernestine (DeRagisch) Reavley. He married Stephanie Brown-Rose on Feb. 14, 1987, in Peoria. She survives along with three sons: Carl Mark (Teri) Reavley of Glasford, Craig (Tana) Reavley of Bartonville, and Ryan Rose of Chillicothe. He has eight grandchildren, Jessica (John) Humphreys of Pekin, Dustin, Leah, Christian, and Alexa Reavley of Glasford, and Justin, Sarah, and Alex Reavley of Bartonville, and one sister, Susan Beening of Peoria.
He attended Bellevue Grade School and was a graduate of Limestone High School in 1961. He worked for Rohn Tower Co. from 1961-1963. He then worked for Keystone Steel & Wire Co. in Bartonville for 38 years retiring in 2000. He was a lifetime member of the Farm Bureau of Peoria County, and a 36-year member of Faith Missionary Church in Bartonville.
Carl was a graduate of the Maher School of Ventriloquism and was a member of the Peoria Magicians Assembly and the Fellowship of Christian Magicians. Carl and his wife, Stephanie, had a children’s evangelism ministry through which they presented the Gospel of Jesus Christ through magic, ventriloquism, and music, all over the tri-county area. Carl enjoyed antique cars, antique tractors, gospel concerts, riding his four-wheeler around his farm and most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren. Carl was so thankful for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Visitation was from 9 until 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel, immediately followed by a prayer service and celebration of his life, led by Pastor Gerald Steffy.
Burial was in Smithville Cemetery following the services.
