Daily entertainment news with "Caddyshack" tonight on AMC, a website that sells discount college textbooks and a recipe for Cooked Broken Rice.
On TV: ‘Caddyshack’ on AMC at 8 p.m. EDT/ 7 p.m. CDT
Starring Rodney Dangerfield, Chevy Chase and Bill Murray, this free-wheeling comedy features the same low-brow humor that made “Animal House” a smash hit just two year earlier. A posh country club is terrorized by oddball characters and zany antics. – Ed Hulse/ Barnes & Noble
Fun website: eCampus.com, www.ecampus.com
Textbooks are a pricey problem for many college students. This site makes things a bit easier this back to school season. There’s a large selection of discount books (searchable by title, author, ISN or keyword), plus textbooks to rent.
Dinner idea: Cooked Broken Rice
1 cup roasted, broken rice
1 1⁄2 cups chicken broth
1 clove garlic, minced
Fresh parsley for garnish
Boil the broth, add rice and garlic. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Turn off heat, and let it sit covered for 20 minutes. This works if you do not have a rice steamer. * Cracked or broken rice is available in Asian markets.
