The Grey Ghost varsity golf team took second place in the North Central Illinois Conference-Lincoln Division final standings, trailing only Spring Valley Hall.
Illinois Valley Central placed third in the conference meet at Spring Creek Golf Course with a score of 333.
Hall finished first with 330, Mendota second with 332, Rock Falls fourth in 342, Princeton fifth with 354 and Kewanee sixth with 355.
In the final standings, Mendota was third, Rock Falls fourth, Princeton fifth and Kewanee sixth.
It was also a great day for three IVC linksters. Sophomore Alex Koch came in second individually with an 80. Junior Jared Johnson was seventh individually with an 82, and sophomore Glenn Maxey finished 10th individually with an 84.
All three received first team all-conference honors for their achievement.
Other scores included T.J. Ross 87, Drake Rundall 93 and Austin Youngman 104.
The regional kicked off Tuesday at Donovan Golf Course in Peoria.
