Eagles soar over Ghosts in first football game

The Illinois Valley Central Ghosts and Dunlap Eagles met and renewed the rivalry in a lopsided game Friday night.

Dunlap walked away with a 35-7 victory.

The game started out in IVC's favor when they shut down the Dunlap offense.

The Ghosts used the running of Dan Semtner to then put them up, 7-0.

On Dunlap's ensuing drive, they were faced with a fourth and 12 from IVC's 31 when they connected on a 31-yard pass to tie the game at seven.

In the second half, Dunlap took a 14-7 lead off a four-yard run.

The Ghosts would not come close to scoring again and Dunlap surged to a victory.
