Chillicothe Junior High School girls’ basketball coach Sara Kinney received a plaque Thursday night commemorating her 500th career win.
The milestone came Sept. 25 at Spoon River Valley, as her seventh-grade team downed Valley, 35-16, in the opening game.
The plaque was presented by CJH assistant principal Pat Auge during the halftime between the seventh- and eighth-grade games with Elmwood at CJH. Kinney has coached girls’ basketball since 1976.
