Chillicothe Ward 2 alderman Jim Thornton suggested a town hall meeting at the council's Oct. 13 meeting to allow city officials to discuss the possible gravel pit problems with land to the west of town.

Other alderman suggested allowing the public a chance to meet the attorney the city hired for gravel pit issues, Dan Schroeder of Hasselberg, Rock, Bell & Kuppler, and pose questions to him about the topic.
