If you've been watching the local TV news or reading the Chillicothe Times-Bulletin, you've seen the spirit of the Grey Ghosts rising in full force.

While the first football game didn't go the way the Grey Ghosts wanted, there was lots of spirit to go around.

The IVC cross country challenged Brandon Arnold in the "I Challenge Brandon" segment on WMBD. The crew visited with students during the recent Windy Childs Alumni Re-Run and gave Brandon a chance to try out the course.

The IVC cheerleaders also had a chance to get a few words in as well, giving those watching the news some of their cheers. Junior Lydia Martin even helped everyone with the weather for the first football game.

Athletes were not the only ones featured on WMBD as the IVC Marching Grey Ghosts also showed off their talents on screen as they practiced their halftime show in a Battle of the Bands vs. the Dunlap Marching Band.

Chilli Soup is a hearty blog about all things Chillicothe, written by Marianne Gillespie, editor of the Chillicothe Times-Bulletin, who enjoys chili from Steak N Shake.
