Once news of the Chillicothe Optimist Club’s purchase of Town Theatre reached the area, there was a consistent comment from residents: the theater needed new seats.

And until they installed new seats, some residents said they would not attend movies.

There are no more excuses now.

With new, comfortable seats which offer more leg room and a drink holder, now is the time to support the Optimists in their venture.

They stepped out in faith, and outside of the box, to raise funds for local youth groups.

How does it work? Simply go see the movies at the theater and keep the ticket stub.

Residents eventually will give their ticket stubs to their youth group of choice to receive a portion of the profits of the theater.

No doubt, it is a win-win. Go relax and see a movie — knowing that the money spent will return to the youth.
