Donald Tucker, 82, of Chillicothe died at 5:57 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Born June 17, 1928, in Jacksonville, Ill., to Theodore D. and Hazel Pearl (Burrup) Tucker, he married Pamela Halverson March 14, 1999, in Mossville. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Michael (Barbara) Tucker of Peoria and Donald (Lisa) Tucker of Chillicothe; two stepdaughters, Ramona Halverson of Peoria and Aimee (Daniel) Burkhalter of Lacon; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Ralph (Carrie) Tucker of Perry, Ill.; and one sister, Patricia Tucker Brown of Winchester, Ill.

He was preceded in death by two brothers; two sisters; and one son, David Tucker.

He served in the U.S. Army before being honorably discharged.

He worked as an inventory clerk with the State of Illinois at Zeller mental health facility until he retired.

A memorial service and burial of the urn will be at a later date. Visitation was Tuesday at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Cremation followed the visitation.

Memorials may be made to Rescue 33 in Chillicothe.
