Darrel Westerman, 82, formerly of Chillicothe, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Born Feb. 5, 1926, in Newton, Kan., to Ralph and Ella (Perkins) Westerman, he married Eva May Price. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Gary (Minnie); two daughters, Kimberly (Leslie) Hall and Kathy (Roy) MacDonald; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Larry “Lee” of Dunlap.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Buren, Dale, Norman and Donald.
He was a United States Navy veteran, serving during World War II in the South Pacific.
He and his family moved to Canada in 1970. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 23 years and for the B.C. Railroad until his retirement.
Services were held at the Rod and Gun Club in Williams Lake July 26, 2008.
