Scott Barnett, 59, died at 12:08 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Nov. 2, 1950, in Chicago to Laurence and Lucille Barnett, he married Denise Scovill May 12, 2001. She preceded him in death in 2005.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
He graduated from Western Illinois University in Macomb with a bachelor of arts degree in sociology.
He was a program assistant for PARC Residential in Peoria. He had one of the longest tenures at PARC, from June 30, 1976, to Nov. 25, 2009.
He attended Mossville United Methodist Church.
Visitation was today at Clary Funeral Home in Peoria. Services and interment at St. Patrick Cemetery in Kickapoo will be private.
Memorials may be made to the Peoria Animal Welfare Shelter to assist in animal rescue and adoption.
