Ardis Crady, 87, of Chillicothe, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Heritage Manor in Chillicothe.

Born July 22, 1922, in Bradford to Everett and Ethel (Lukehart) Talbert, she married Gerald (Ole) Crady Aug. 16, 1941. He died April 11, 2000.

Also preceding her in death was one sister, Betty.

Surviving are two sons, Gerald L. (Sue) of Florida and Randy (Trish) of Germantown Hills, five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Opal of Bradford.

She was a school secretary for the Chillicothe school system for 25 years, retiring in 1984.

She was a member of the Martha Washington Chapter No. 178 Order of the Eastern Star of Chillicothe and the First United Methodist Church of Chillicothe for almost 60 years.

She was also member of the Chillicothe Historical Society and Pearce Community Center in Chillicothe were she was active with the line dancers.

She was an avid volunteer at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe and a longtime member of the Chicago Cubs Boosters.

Services will be noon Tuesday at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe with visitation at 10 a.m. The Rev. Ted Mitchell will officiate.  Burial will be in Chillicothe City Cemetery.

Because of her love of watching her grandchildren participate in athletics, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Eureka College Soccer program.
