Harry E. Landis, 63, of Mossville died at 11:12 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born April 11, 1947, in Louisa, Ky., to Eugene E. and Beulah (Wells) Landis, he married Ann Beery Aug. 20, 1966. He later married Alma M. Sander July 7, 2007, in Las Vegas. She survives.

He is also survived by his mother, Beulah Landis of East Peoria; daughters, Cheryl (Pete) Alford of Tucson, Ariz., and Gayle (Dean) Giusti of Bloomington; stepdaughter, Myriah (John) Carpenter of Peoria Heights; stepson, Thomas Vernon Maston of Mossville; and two grandchildren.

His father preceded him in death.

He was the assistant technical director for Bradley University, last working in May of this year. He was retired from Lonza in Mapleton and Pekin Energy (Aventine).

He was a member of the Peoria Masonic Lodge.

The family will host an open house from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at 10403 Moss St. in Mossville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 428 W. McClure Ave. in Peoria.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Bradley University Theatre or to Rescue 33 in Chillicothe.
