Helen Louise Hardin, 89, formerly of Chillicothe, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

Born Sept. 2, 1920, in Peoria to Eustace Denzil and Mary Helen Aylesworth Hinderliter, she married William A. Hardin Nov. 19, 1937, in Paducah, Ky. He died May 19, 1990, in Chillicothe.

Also preceding her in death are one brother and two sisters.

Surviving are her children, Russell W. Hardin of Lakeview, Ark., Margaret Ann (Allan) Cumming of Dahinda and Bettie (Tom) Spillman of East Peoria; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.

Services were Saturday at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria, where visitation preceded services. The Rev. Douglas Lightly officiated.  Burial was in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
