Dick L. Shepard, 90, of Chillicothe died on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Chillicothe.
Born April 10, 1921, in Chillicothe to George and Gertrude (Stilman) Shepard, he married Evajean Roberson on Nov. 26, 1942, in Chillicothe. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Patricia Huss of Albuquerque, N.M., and Georgianna (Paul) Ely of Kansas City, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Daniel; one daughter, Kathleen; and one grandchild.
He served on the Chillicothe School Board for 15 years.
He was also a member of the First National Bank of Chillicothe Board for 25 years.
He was a member of George Washington Lodge No. 222 and the Scottish Rite. He reached the 32nd degree status and served for 60 years.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and there will be no services.
