Doyle Wayne Decker, 63, of Mossville, died at 5:12 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010, at his residence.

Born May 8, 1946, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., to Noland “Pete” Decker and Edna (Miller) Decker, he married Karen Quinones Jan. 29, 2000. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Edna Decker of Arnold, Mo.; one son, Charlie (Kate) Decker of Tucson, Ariz.; and two brothers, Gary (Diane) Decker of Arnold, Mo., and Steven of St. Clair, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.

He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the Army. 

He worked for Ford Corp. for 15 years.

He was a member of Rome Baptist Church. 

He and his wife were members of Fishin Pals.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Rome Baptist Church, 5104 E. Stevenson Ave., with visitation beginning at 5 p.m. until the time of the service. The Dr. Lloyd Moss will officiate. Inurnment will be held in Broseley, Mo., at a later date. 

Memorials may be made to his church.
