Kelly C. (Moulton) Appel, 42, of Chillicothe and formerly of Washburn, died at 3:40 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at her residence in Chillicothe.
She was born Nov. 22, 1969, in Spring Valley, Ill., to Richard James Jinks and Mary (Turner) Moulton. They survive in Washburn.
Also surviving are her significant other, Rob Vanderheydt of Chillicothe; her two sons, William James (Katerina) Nickel of Princeton and Miles D. Fowls of Washburn; three sisters, Carla Skeet Davidson of Washburn, Jamie Lee (Duane) Bradley of Washington and Sarah (Pete Cotton) Gustafson of LaRose; and one brother, Bradley D. (Gwen) Jackson of Deer Park, Wis.
Two brothers, Ike Moulton and Sam Jackson, preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker.
Funeral services were Thursday at Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home in Washburn where visitation preceded services. Kathryn Gustafson, her niece, conducted the services and cremation rites followed. Inurnment will be at a later date in Linn-Mount Vernon Cemetery in Washburn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the no-kill animal shelter/rescue or to a food pantry of the donor’s choice.
