Thanks to the diligent work of the IVC Educational Foundation and the generosity of the donors to that group, more than $5,000 in grants have again this year been awarded to local teachers to enhance programs and fund projects in their classrooms.
Since its inception in 1992, the IVC Educational Foundation annually funds thousands of dollars to IVC classrooms through the mini-grant program.
Teachers submit projects and programs to be considered for funding. This year’s recipients include:

Document Camera
Goal: To enhance student learning while keeping up with ever evolving technology.
Material: Document camera, remote and cable to transfer data from the camera to the computer.

German Language Workshops
Goal: For seventh and eighth grade students to learn language and culture go hand-in-hand.
Materials: German regalia, invitations, nametags, baking supplies, art and craft supplies and classroom supplies (crayons, paper, construction paper, sidewalk chalk, paper roll and poster board)

Goal: Utilize a device to enhance learning and enable students with limited communication skills to actively participate in their classroom environment.
